The 1874 Sharps rifle is one of the most respected single-shot rifles to ever be produced.  During the 1870s, the Sharps’s heyday on the American western frontier, it garnered the nickname “Boss of the Plains”.  During the same time period, Sharps rifles were being customized with engraving and special features by Freund & Bro. gun shop in the Wyoming Territory. The Freund Sharps rifles were available with the engraving “Boss Gun” as part of the customization package.  The C. Sharps Arms Co. Boss Gun pays homage to both the nickname and the classic work of the Freund & Bro. gun shop.

The Boss Gun features French Grey Receiver with Grade I Engraving, Satin Barrel finish, Double Set Triggers, 34” #1 Heavy Tapered Octagon Barrel w/ Hartford Collar, XXX Fancy Walnut Straight Grip Long Range Target Stock with Cheek Rest and Steel Butt Plate, Hartford style nosecap, Globe Front sight with .060” ball on post, Buckhorn rear sight and Deluxe Long Range Tang sight. Other sight options are available at extra cost. Long Range Target Pistol Grip Stock available at extra cost.  Grade II-IV engraving available at extra cost, please call for more info.
